"Remember, I am with you always to the end of the age" (Mt 28:20)

Third Day Of Christmas: "Bridge Over Troubled Water" | Simon and Garfunkel 1970

Brothers and sisters: Put on, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if one has a grievance against another; as the Lord has forgiven you, so must you also do. And over all these put on love, that is, the bond of perfection. (Colossians 3:12–14, Family life in the Lord)

Bridge Over Troubled Water
Simon & Garfunkel

When you're weary
Feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
I'll dry them all
I'm on your side
Oh, when times get rough
And friends just can't be found

Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

When you're down and out
When you're on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you
I'll take your part
Oh, when darkness comes
And pain is all around

Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

Sail on silver girl
Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way
See how they shine
Oh, if you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind

Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind

  1. A consoling song reminding that Jesus is " Amigo que nunca falla"... and be a channel of His love as He is to us... God bless!

    1. Mark 1:3, NASB: "THE VOICE OF ONE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS, 'MAKE READY THE WAY OF THE LORD, MAKE HIS PATHS STRAIGHT.''" In fact it is Jesus who is the path and channel himself! John the Baptist's invitation is that we walk this path. God bless us!

    3. "I will lay me down like a a bridge..." Jesus is my bridge over troubled waters! And you are perfectly right in saying about Jesus as the "Friend who never fails" so that even during those moments that I felt He was absent but actually now as I look back He was always there first. He was not only ahead of, behind or above but most of all under my feet. Every time I stumbled He pulled me up onto the bridge where He sustained me without being shaken or moved. God bless!

    4. I can resonate with you, Fr. Jom. Even in my prayers, when I feel He is not present, I tend to stop.. but then I remember the words of St. Teresa, to stay in prayer... To remain and be there in silence... for He is with us always...Thank you for sharing. I appreciate it so much.. Have a nice day with the Lord and with His people you are taking care of!
